Something rises in the leader, similar to the gut instinct he gains when his team is about to walk into a trap, or there's a danger lurking just out of sight. He knows that it would be easy to leave, to obey his stressed younger brother and allow him to continue his work. In a way, this had been what he'd wanted, hadn't it? But this is wrong.
