A family lost and a son alone. A boy's life at its end and beginning. An adventure filled with fantastical terrors, where a child becomes a monster, and a monster becomes a legend.

***

These were the ominous words the ghost Marmy Jo spoke when foretelling Josiah's future:

"Got a world of pain comin' your way, boy-and fast! But, if you make it, you'll come out a stronger beast than many."

When a wolf attack leaves Josiah mortally wounded, his sister Credence is forced to abandon him to find help. Where she went, he cannot say, for the last thing he remembers is hearing his heart stop.

Josiah, the boy who died, wakes to find the world much changed.
Deep within, a horror howls, threatening to tear from his bones at any moment.
With his sister gone, Josiah is alone for the first time in his life, and must learn how to survive in the dark, dark woods.

But how can an eight-year-old defend against devious spiders, cruel kings, and bloodthirsty titans?

And how long can Josiah refuse the call of darkness before he's pulled down a path of chaos and blood?

For the fae, magic is everything: status, power, wealth, honor. For Vera Reite, a fae born with no magic, it is a shameful reminder that she will never amount to anything. Whispers of a fae-killing monster begin to circulate the Moon Court. It lurks in the woods, feeding off the mana of its victims. Those that go missing and find themselves at the mercy of the beast are never seen or heard from again. Fear quickly takes hold of the fae court; it's only a matter of time before their whole world is destroyed by this creature. However, it offers Vera a glimmer of hope. When she learns of it, she ventures into the wood to kill the beast, believing that she will be able to absorb the magic it has stolen. But the woods are as dangerous as the beast, and Vera soon finds herself lost. In a stroke of luck, she comes across an old manor deep in the forest where a strange boy is sealed away. If Vera wishes to slay the beast, she will first have to uncover the secret of the manor and its prisoner before it's too late. 𝐀 𝐟𝐚𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜. 𝐀 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭. THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Not knowing the outcome of your foolish actions. If he comes roaming your streets, you have a right to be scared. Us "maidens" are always encouraged to hide ourselves the most, it's women that he supposedly wants more. However, I believe that that is a cautionary excuse. He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look. Either he looks at you, or you look at him, or you both exchange looks. Either way, his senses will pick you up, and you can't hide. It'll be too late. The amazing cover is by @-blackrogue. His Beauty & Her Beast

Legend says a beast like no other was sent from the depths of the underworld to conquer and destroy all life on earth... stories of the evil and monstrous creatures roamed throughout the lands. Tales were told to children about a dark forest that must never be ventured for the creatures within will devour whatever is in its sights ruthlessly. He was a beast but he was not cursed as one he was created as one. He could transform into a vicious monster; he had large wings that allowed him to sore through the sky along with incredible strength and speed that strikes fear and death into anyone before him. He stood nearly 7 feet tall with large rippling muscles making him appear larger and even more frightening in his beast form. He could transform from a beast to a human. He was feared. He had power. .... She was soft and gentle. She walked with grace and elegance. Her kindness would melt the heart of any evil and her beauty was like no other. She was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen. And the beast wanted her. "P-please... don't hurt them" I shakingly stood in front of the petrified young children. "You do not worry about yourself?" He spoke, and his deep and dark voice sent shivers down my body. "Please they are just children they don't mean no harm" his eyes held adoration and something else. "What's your name...." "Elaine"
