The Orion Legacy
Let me tell you a story of a kingdom that was once the most advanced civilization known to this day, a pinnacle of achievement that still astounds the universe with its grandeur and sophistication. Its twin towers were the centre of all knowledge of the universe, and their luminous rays radiated from the lights at the tip of each tower, guiding all travellers from across time and space back to its main doors. Until the day they arrived, from the shadows and as old as our known universe, we battled with all we had to contain this dark and mysterious life form. Our kingdom was about to fall. Our scientists found a way by creating a wormhole through space to a new world, granting us a chance to save our civilization. But something happened during the process... I was jolted awake to find myself alone, hundreds of years later, and all of those who had been with me gone. It was only after certain events that I discovered my immortality, so I vowed to rebuild the Orion civilization in this new world. One day, against all odds, I met her gaze, a unique gaze that only my wife Lisana had possessed. I later realized that it was her spirit reincarnated, as Kayronian we could only love one person, we were irrevocably drawn to each other regardless of distance and time. We lived happily until her death; many years later on a trip to another continent, I encountered her again, this time as queen of a Nordic people, multiple lives together followed, united by our eternal love and the immeasurable pain of reliving her death over and over again, in total I had to bury her with my own hands 87 times. The last Lisana implored me to break the cycle before it started again. Decades ago, humans found the peaceful land of Vaerali where all dragon-human hybrid races had coexisted in peace and prosperity for many millennia. The humans saw the lush green plains and golden fields of wheat and sent their people in force across the seas to burn and conquer it in the name of their Emperor. Without any other motive than desire for what they don't have, they declared war on Vaerali and chaos erupted across the tranquil lands. Screaming sounded day and night as hybrids all across Vaerali were slaughtered; whole races going extinct in one night as the humans spread their ruin across the land, claiming it one town at a time. This dark time in Vaerali is known all across the world as the Dragon Slaughter; the night the dragon hybrid race was conquered. Years pass and a tentative peace finally settles over the scarred lands of Vaerali as the humans shove the hybrids far into the shadow of their reign. They force any who resist their rule into enslavement or, if that doesn't prove to be enough to crush their spirit, they kill them and hang their wings as trophies - and a warning to all the others who disobey the reign. To this day, the humans still hold all of the power over Vaerali and, in turn, all of the dragon hybrids. But there are storm clouds on the horizon. I finally realized my destiny when my story came to a close and I realized that I was molded into being the villain all along. Imagine my life as a game, a game where you want to save everyone. These monster like creatures that would have an eerie resemblance to the ones the other world has been fighting. Or the ones that keep appearing in dreams. It is currently 2129. Following the story path of Y/n Murasawa and her twin sister, T/n, they are your normal high school girls that live their normal life with a few other friends they made along the way, Iori, Kurabe, Amiguchi, and a few others, to which their story path is also included. Every night along with the three, they are always seeing these weird dreams. Like scary visions of the future, like the two of them and their friends would be there riding giant robots as they fight off a Kaiju attack or when they're all grown up in the future but the dreams would act out as if they were in a movie scene. Were these weird dreams that may have been a real event? Or, this may be their so called memories? Is it really theirs? What will become of Y/n, T/n, and these three other characters along the way? The Way It Is
I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it!
