When she meets Sebastian Sallow, a fellow Slytherin of the same year, her life is thrown for a loop as she dives headfirst into his mission to find a cure for his twin sister. Ominis Gaunt, Sallow's best friend, is hesitant of Jo at first but quickly warms to her and provides a balance for her tumultuous relationship with Sebastian. Things get far more complicated as feelings develop and danger grows around them. Josephine enlists the help of her friends to support her as she takes down Ranrok and Rookwood.
