A little bit ago, the sky split open, and odd cards rained down from the sky into the hands of unsuspecting kids. These cards contained powerful and mysterious creatures that soon came to be known as "Bakugan." And, what did these kids do with these odd creatures? Why, battle with them, of course.

Penny is one such kid. A brawler who uses the Darkus attribute, she, well, is relatively bad at the game. Well, by relatively bad, she is actually pretty horrible. Fortunately, her friend Cyan, a brawler who uses the Aquos attribute, is the opposite of her. So, she'll just take tips from Cyan and will eventually get better, right?

One day, the two go for a nice walk in the park. However, odd events start to occur, and Penny meets a new friend who will change the two teenagers' lives in ways they can't begin to comprehend.

Maybe, Penny's gotten in a little over her head this time.

Maybe, this isn't really a game, after all.
