Amara Marino, a closed off, badass of a girl. What lies under the surface is much deeper, though. When Amara was 1, her mother took her and ran away from the Marino family. Amara was the first girl born in generations in the family of 6 brothers and Carlo Marino, her father. The Marino family is very well known. They are the Italian Mafia. Amara has lived through verbal abuse which turned physical when her mom got married to a man named Brett. Brett got her mom into more alcohol and drugs and soon yelling became beatings. Amara puts on the emotionless facade to hide what goes on underneath. What is under her baggy clothes and makeup lies bruises and scars. She has lived her whole life not knowing she had other family, let alone 6 older brothers and a father who died. That is until her mother and Brett die in a tragic car accident and Amara is left to process all the oncoming information of going to live with her brothers. Will she learn to trust again? Will the brothers be welcoming? Will she meet a certain someone? And will secrets start to unravel...?
