With her mother's pursuit of a better job, Zuri finds herself in a foreign environment, grappling with the absence of her father and uncertain about her place in this unfamiliar world.

Zuri's family has always prioritized their own ambitions over their faith in God, leading to a sense of unease as she enters high school. However, her anxiety begins to dissipate when she encounters three girls-Jenna, Amani, and Daisy-and they quickly form a close-knit friendship. But within this newfound circle, Jenna's presence seems to stir up conflicts and disrupt the harmony that Zuri craves.
