'Your headteacher cleared her throat, bringing the conversation back to the reason why they were here. "Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson have been called in to help us with a sensitive matter," she explained. "We can't go into details, but I want to assure you that there is no cause for alarm. They will only be here for a short time, and then they will be on their way." The class murmured in confusion and curiosity, but you couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What could be so sensitive that they needed the help of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson? Your mind raced with possibilities, but you couldn't come up with any concrete ideas.' Mycroft had always warned Sherlock that feelings can get in the way, especially when it comes to his chosen line of work. Typically, this would be the one thing the two brothers could agree on, however, when you reappear on his doorstep after years of no contact, informing Sherlock that your life's in danger, he's left struggling with both his feelings and what happened in your shared past. How can he possibly pretend such strong emotions have never existed when they still remain?
