Mateo DaSilva is obsessed with a poisonous prince and a doomed gladiator.
Mateo DaSilva is besties with Val Antonin: fellow university student, tech-geek, best friend, and so poisonous to humans that Val's not allowed to touch anybody. Mateo is obsessed with his distant cousin Jason, who is a planetwide star of the gladiatorial arena, and only slightly more approachable than Val. Jason is obsessed with the mysterious gladiator called 'The Diamond', whose body is sin incarnate and whose touch creates an addiction for most humans.
When Mateo enlists Valier in a prank to help Jason indulge his longing for the Diamond, all four men become tangled in a political plot that could destroy Mateo's planet.

FREELANCER. BOOK ONE of the FREELANCER SERIES
Back in the late 1990's a great PC game came out called FREELANCER. It was an open galaxy adventure space game that had a good storyline. I spent untold hours flying through space in this game and I always thought it was ripe for a spinoff side story but I never pursued it. Nearly 30 years later I discovered a website called GOOD OLD GAMES where you could find and download many great games of yore. There I found FREELANCER. So I climbed back into the cockpit of a starfighter after so long and have enjoyed it even more than I did way back when. Once again the possibility of a side story presented itself and this time I have risen to the challenge. I have always been an avid reader of SCI-FI and I will be the first to tell you that I have blatantly used ideas from other sci-fi works in my story. I have also used names of real people and places to flesh out my narrative. And as a warning for those offended by sexual content, I have included some pretty erotic sexual segments in my story, so you may want to close your eyes as you read those parts. If you have ever enjoyed playing the FREELANCER PC game, you may enjoy my story. Let me know. As a side note to the story: In the story there is a space station named Lajes. In the following books I have changed the name from Lajes to Freeport Seven. Sorry if it causes any confusion.Complete
