The sorceress Trianna of the Du Vrangr Gata has taken a few too many liberties with her supposed independence. Nasuada must lay down the law, and assert her command over all of her subjects, even those with magical abilities. Dedicated to No-Employment-7718 on reddit! Thanks for coming up with this idea. This work contains one or more instances of directly copied quotes from the book "Brisingr" by Christopher Paolini. I have used these because I believe in enhancing stories with ad-libbed content, but not with changing the actual words or lore of an authors story. He is credited with the characters, locations, storyline, lore, and publishing of the original books.

My mother always told me when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. When someone knocks you down, you get right back up. You fight the good fight until you have nothing left. You fight with honor, you protect the ones you love, and if you just happen to die in the process, than you do so with dignity and grace. What my mother neglected to tell me during my studies was that you don't always get what you want, the outcome you think is coming doesn't always happen, and when the smoke clears, you're always going to be the last one standing. By the end of The Certainty, Georgiana Vertigo is left with nothing more than her life, something many people would be more than happy to have. However, Georgiana is left to her own devices in a strange city, alone and heartbroken with regular intense bouts of depression. In starting a new life with the Guild, Georgiana has everything she needs in order to move on with her life and keep her mind off the past. Only problem is, the past is never truly forgotten and no matter how hard you try to shake them, the feelings that go along with the memories don't just fade away. ~ * ~ Alright, chickens. You asked for it (some of you at least) and here it is...well...part of it. Like I've told a few of you, this is a work in progress. I add pieces to it when I think of them. The posting on this story will NOT be regular but thankfully for you, I have quite a bit of it done. I just haven't decided if the path I take it down is the right one. So. I hope you enjoy it and I will give you a forewarning that as the story progresses, it gets a bit more adult. For those of us just joining the party because they stumbled across it in the Paranormal category, there is a whole series of books you have to read until you get to this one. Go start with The Beginning. You can find it under "My Works" on my home page.
