I know this is different from my usual content, but I love this web series. This is my first time trying true fanfic, so I can't promise it'll be as good as my more original stories; however, I will still do my best to stay true to the original's content. This is also my first time dealing with some swearing, and I will keep it restricted to the ones used in the show. Additionally, I'm sorry to burst your bubbles, but this is NOT a reader x character story, it's only a reader insert. Finally, this story will have slower updates since I have to wait for the next episodes to come out; I unfortunately can't see into the future. Plot (Y/N) is a worker drone living in the bunker with his mother; however, calling the place safe is misleading because not only are the savage disassembly drones constantly trying to get in, but every few weeks someone goes missing without a trace. When (Y/N) is dragged into the den of the beasts terrorizing his home, he's soon forced to go down a long and twisted rabbit hole, while discovering that there's more to him than meets the eye. A cyberpunk short about parties and drinking. Or is it? --------------------------------------- The first (and sadly only) short story I ever completed. It's actually 6 years old by now. Sci-fi anime fans may recognize the names Cyberia and JJ from Serial Experiments Lain. This was deliberate, though I would not call this story a fanfiction. Rather they are a homage to one of the works that got me into sci-fi. I am very much open to feedback. Worker Drones are doing their thing, Disassembly Drones are, well, disassembling, and the Absolute Solver, an AI with a flair for sarcasm, is pulling everyone's strings... His old companion, D/N, is now a brooding mess, adopting Y/N's name in grief, and flashbacks of violent moments and forgotten relationships constantly flood his mind. ...Yet he rolls with it, cracking jokes and getting through ridiculous situations, all while wondering if he's the hero or a just a random drone. Oh, and his own body is a battleground for control. When you're a walking weapon, apparently even your tech can be hijacked. But Y/N's got jokes, fighting, and a whole lot of bad decisions to make... while hoping he can reclaim some semblance of humanity, or at least some peace of mind...
