So um... after watching Shadow and Bone season 2 (which I could talk about for hours), I got slightly obsessed with the whole Nikolai x Mal shipping (especially since the actors gave us quite some content). I'm not really an experienced writer but I wrote a series of these "training scenes" and such to give myself more Nikomal fluff and figured it'd be fun to share it. English is not my first language so don't expect too much, but here are some simple Nikolai x Mal ficlets I wrote <3. Also: it gets better with every chapter.
'"I'm flattered that you care about how I feel in your company," he threw back with a chuckle and a roll of his eyes, stopping for a second.
"I have to impress the king of Ravka somehow," came a reply in a suggestive voice and oh, how Nikolai wished, even yearned to hear that tone, preferably with Mal's head between... okay, no. Nikolai had to chill out a bit. But of course, he doesn't know how to do that so he quickly bit back.

He pulled me to face him and then got close enough to me that I was leaning against the edge of the cliff. The action was so quick he might has well have slammed me into the jagged rock. As painful as it was I was distracted by him. He had my arm held up on one side of my head like he was pinning me. His other hand was placed on the cliff on the other side of my head and he leaned over above me, I was intimidated, but not out of fear. He spoke in that gruff tone again, but this time he was close enough to my ear that I could feel his warm breath as he talked, "Oh, I think you are, sweetheart."Concluida
