Now that Caldor and Idriseth are together, everything seems to be going right for once. Cal is still bitter and angry after what happened to his guildmates, but he tries to put it all aside, move on, and focus on the new life path that's in front of him. That is until he runs into an old friend he thought was dead.

While Cal is ecstatic that Kyra is alive, her dislike of dragons quickly makes things complicated. But even as Caldor struggles to figure out how to explain everything to Kyra while avoiding upsetting both her and Idri, something much worse is brewing on the horizon. Lord Augerill needs Idriseth for his own, mysterious purposes. And his people won't rest until the dragon is captured.
