"I'm an adult and I should act like one," he admitted. "I was so angry when I heard you talk to your friend in that manner about Drew that I was blind to realise that you were protecting me."
Sadie leaned against the wall and wiped the tears off of her face. "It's fine," she muttered.
Mr Cooper sighed and walked towards her. "Tell me what you want, Sadie, and I'll do it as long as you'll forgive me."
