This story was previously titled "Random Notes"

"What is it about that guy?" I asked the clouds and the sky and the empty street that followed my path. Being a walker was truly a lonely existence.

"About what guy?"

It can't be.

I jumped from the sudden input to my conversation with the universe, turning slowly, feeling my eyes widen once more from the surprise.

"You look like you've seen a ghost. Have you been walking through cemeteries again, you weirdo."

"John..."

"Don't say it."

"Huh? Say what?"

"Don't say that you were worried about me. Go down that road and you might fall for me." He snickered.

"Fall for you? Hah! You wish. I didn't see you the whole rest of the day! Where'd you go?"

"Well..."

"Well? I was worried sick that you'd spill the beans about our little adventure. If I get caught, so help me John I will..."

"Okay okay calm down don't get your panties in a twist."

"And don't say PANTIES!"

After an act of carelessness and a certain mistake regarding a door, Ali Jacobson's life changes in ways she never thought possible. "You had no right to do that," I snap, trying my best to out walk him. His chuckle was loud behind me and his hand griped on my forearm, stopping me. Something about his warmth gave me chills all over my body. Something I don't think I ever wanted in the first place. Especially from him and especially now. "Yes I did, and I still do." His hard grip around my arm loosened, and snaked up to lock his fingers through my hair. Oh Momma, what is happening? Being this close to him has been happening way too often for normal. Still, I couldn't break away from this close contact, I was frozen, shocked. "What makes you think that?" My question hit him with humor, and instead of fully responding, he leans his face closer to mine. The smirk on his face stayed once he noticed the affect he had on me. "Because," he whispers out pressing our bodies together. "I'm your Secret Santa," he licks his lips as if he's hungry, then continues, "I can give you anything I want to give you." His free arm wraps around my waist, and he lifts me up during the action before pressing our lips together. The main character is Kimberly. She's an accident prone person who wants nothing but to enjoy her winter. Her friends want the best for her after a terrible break up they witnessed. Every year they all hold the traditional Secret Santa. Somebody from the group believes that they are what Kimberly needs. From the wreckage of her naivety and self-esteem, can Louise save her friendships and rebuild herself? Our love songs aren't telling the whole truth. How can this be? In this tale of vulnerability, adolescence and painful reckoning, the arrogance of youth demands a price. * "'You're what, Louise?' he asked. 'You're sorry? What am I supposed to do here? How can I turn this around? How can I tell you that everything you want and feel is reciprocated, when I have to go back to work and pretend none of it happened?' 'I don't know the answer!' I cried. 'Neither of us do.' I threw my hands up in defeat. He caught them before they could fall. 'But how do I go back to living without your words?' His voice became a whisper. He squeezed my fingers tightly, closing his eyes and bringing them to his chest. 'I need how you make me feel, Luiza. I need it to feel alive. I won't stay away. No one's made me feel this good before. And I can't stand myself for wanting what I want. What do I do?' I was a violin bow on the verge of splintering. Every inch of me pulsed with an ache that began from the marrow of my bones. Fate had brought us here. At this crossroads of ours, there were a hundred different choices to make. A thousand different lifetimes to choose from, stemming from and decided entirely by my next choice. And in the end, I chose incorrectly. I held his face between my hands, feeling the echoing pulse of his skin. I brought his face to mine. I kissed him."

When Ava and her friends decide to play their own version of "Truth or Dare", Ava winds up kissing someone she never expected... and wanting more? --STORY SAMPLE: When I was closer than a foot from him, I tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and smiled. Oh my lord. This guy was even hotter up close. I shoved all the thoughts from my head and said "Hi. My name's Ava." He smiled again and said "Nice to meet you. I'm Zander." That's all he could say before I kissed him. He immediately tensed up, but then he did something I didn't expect. He kissed me back and grabbed my waist, pulling me closer. I opened my mouth a little in shock, and his tongue went in my mouth. He tasted like rainwater and peppermint. Despite myself, I moaned a little when he deepened the kiss even further. After what felt like 2 hours, we broke apart. "I'm sorry," he said blushing a little "but it just kinda clicked." he explained, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's okay." I said, also starting to blush a little. For 2 minutes the awkward just settled between us, and I swear it was tangible. He broke the silence first, finally meeting my eyes and not staring at his high-tops. "So...", he started and chuckled nervously "Could I get your number?" I stared at him for a second wondering if it would even be a good idea, when he said "I know we don't know each other, but I felt fireworks just now, and even if we don't go on a date, I'd love to see you again." I just smiled and asked for his phone. ------- Remember to vote, follow, comment, etc. :) FOLLOW MY NEW INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT @felicitybwrites

What Morgan doesn't know is that one stubborn move could land her a new friend, and possibly even more. ~~~~~ "It's amazing...magical even, how hearing one song can take you back to a single moment or a series of them, just so you can live it all over again," he said. "I think that's the best part about music. It's like time travel you know? Going back to the past, or sometimes even visualizing the future...what we could be." "What about the sad moments?" I asked softly. "Nobody wants to re-live those." "Maybe not, but that's the entirety of it," he answered, raising his hand to brush away the hair from my face before tucking it behind my ear. "There's always good in the bad, and bad in the good. Balance." His fingers trailed down my arm, sending shock waves through me. "Can I tell you something?" I asked softly. The corner of his lips curved upwards in a small smile. "You can tell me anything."
