This book is the continuation to the first Split Element Book, I highly recommend you read that one first before this one, however an overview/recap of that book will be given.

This is a continuation of Aly's story:

It's been a few years since the Ninja defeated The Overlord, and parted ways while the Monastery was being rebuilt.

During that time, the Ninja got their powers back, and a child was born from both human and machine

But just when the Masters of Ice thought their lives were perfect, something would happen which would change their lives, for better, and for worse...

One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Ever since Cole went through the rift of the Yin blade back in Day of the Departed, he thinks everything with him is back to normal. But just in, Ninjago City is in great danger and the ninja now have to face a new enemy. That enemy wants Cole himself. Cole discovers something disturbing that's the going on with his family. It causes issues with his father, master and his friends at the same time. And during the adventure with Kai and Nya (HoT), Cole discovered a new power inside of him. It was powerful. He liked it, it helped the ninja a lot. Cole was stronger than he ever was before. And now he's their biggest target ..... In this story, Cole must face the Queen of Ghouls, otherwise the Realm of Ninjago will fall into the hands of Evil...
