Freya Evens has had the move of a lifetime. After her mom was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's, the Evens family picked up and moved to Florida to hopefully receive top notch care. Freya tried to keep it a secret at school of why they actually moved, Sage on the other hand is loving the pity from teachers and students. Free extensions on assignments, and an all inclusive deal to the popular group. Freya somehow finds herself involved right in the middle of the popular mix, but not with the right crowd. She realizes throughout high school she has been yearning for someone that would bring her to life, she just didn't imagine it would be as her mother was dying.

Warning: Includes many triggers including rape, abuse, self harm Two teenagers in high school face their problems at home. Remi has an abusive dad and his mom ran out on them. He is part of the popular group in school, in fact he's the most popular boy in school. Ivory is the girl in school that no one bothers to look at twice. She has one friend and doesn't even consider making any new friends. Her life at home sucks. Her dad died a few years ago and now her mom hangs around with new guys every week and some of them are definitely not someone you want to have at home. Both Remi's and Ivory's lives really change as Remi realizes he has been paying extra attention to Ivory recently.
