Ashes of Horizon

Kheyri is devoted to her role as Lady of Lonica, delegating duties in the palace, taking care of court matters, and dealing with dignitaries, with every intention to succeed her father as Countess.

Soon, however, she finds herself caught up in a whirlwind of Kingdom-wide upheaval. From the Lords under her father vying for his land and the pressure from her father and the King for her to marry to ensure stability in the realm, her lifelong dream may be swept out from under her feet, faced with decisions she thought she'd never have to make.

Before all these revelations can settle, the kingdom itself is fractured as various Lords side against the Kingdom of Basolia, all the while barbarians press in from every corner to take everything they can.

And then, of course, there are the suitors, all after the beautiful Kheyri's hand in marriage. Each has their own motivations and desires, but she is unprepared when her feelings unexpectedly begin to change.
