Many ages ago there was once an order known as the Palatonic Guardians. These Guardians are shrouded in mystery and haven't been seen since the beginning of Cybertronian history. That is, until one emerged on the planet known as Earth where he encounters the unexpected.

They didn't think that Megatron would change the rules. Bringing the children, exposing them to the toxic air. Optimus did what he seemed right at the moment. He destroyed the Omage Lock, only resulting in something unexpected. The children, their glass container, had shattered when the wave of unrestrained cyber-matter had sent them and their Guardians flying off.
