The various Loud noises pierced the room. The heavy breathing from the crowds, taking in all the onstage smoke. No area of the room was empty, as everyone craved seeing the new band.
All of a sudden everyone turned silent. All was dead like, lifeless and unstirring, except for a dainty "wake up".
Cassie was dreaming.
Cassie woke up to her mum, Sunny, sitting next to her in her new formal grey suit. Firstly startled and dazed, her back brushed quickly against the hard pine headboard. Sunny smiles. "C'mon sweetie, I got a new job interview. Now that we are in Australia now, we can't be those lazy folks, tucked away behind our blankets. New country new start." I rub my eyes gently, before looking at the old fashioned Saxon alarm clock, showing glistening let the digits 8:30. It blinked 8:31. I quickly uncover the blankets, forcing my mum to race off the bed. "Meet you in the car" said Sunny, leaning against my door frame. She slams blatantly the door behind her.

Cass has no memories of her parents, only impossible dreams of waves and orcas and, sometimes, her mother's voice. When she and her adopted aunt return to the Pacific Northwest island--where her parents died twelve years before--Cass hopes the place will trigger long-buried memories. Instead, she discovers that the impossible is real, and that history is about to repeat itself. Unless she can stop it. ***Teaser*** The water hit with such a shock of cold that Cass thought she was going to pedal up and out of it again like some cartoon character. Instead, she flailed and splashed and smashed one arm against a piling as salt water poured into her raincoat & filled her shoes. "How do you like it?" Jason yelled. She spun until she could make out his form, black against gray sky. "What?" she sputtered. She dragged one arm from the water long enough to shove wet hair from her face. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "I nearly drowned last week, you know that? Now you show up as if nothing happened." "Last week," Cass said slowly, "I was in Argentina." Whatever he'd seen, it wasn't her.

I woke up in a hospital bed, the pain I was feeling was intense. All I remember was practicing gymnastics and then well everything went black. And now the only things I hear are the sound of my heart monitor and the slow dripping of the IV into my arm. The air in the room felt stale, the silence was so "loud" I felt like I could hear my own heart beat. I heard I light knock on the door to my room, the doctor walked in, kind of solemn looking. I got worried, I immediately asked him "Hi doctor, is there something wrong?" " With you? No, your vitals seems stable. But I thought that you should be aware of this now." "Be aware of what?" "It's about your parents." "What about them are they okay?" "No, not exactly. They were in a car accident a couple of days ago, and your father flew through the windshield and broke his leg. CAUTION CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT. "Say it, Allison," he said, his voice low as he trapped me against the rough wall. A shiver ran down my spine, his voice pulling at me, the power in it making me want to do anything he asked. I shook my head, afraid my voice might betray me. His teeth lightly grazed my neck causing a sigh to get past my lips. I could feel him smile against my skin. He knew he was going to get what he wanted one way or another. I tried to slip away, but he grabbed my wrists, pinning them down tightly. He pressed his hard body against me. I was aware of every inch of him that was touching me. "Don't think you can just leave. We're not done yet." My stomach tightened at his words, the desire inside burning for him. My damn body at war with my mind yet again. He slid his hand up to the edge of my shorts, slowly working it's way up as his mouth trailed small nips from my neck to my collar bone and lower, stopping only when he reached the fabric. I could feel my resolve weakening as his hand reached its destination. "Say it," he demanded. I moaned, my head tipping back as he moved expertly. I wanted to say it then, I really did. But if I said the words, there was no going back. ***************** Allison Cole has just turned seventeen. Most girls would be excited, but she doesn't see it as anything special. "No, I'm not. Morgan, I'm sure about you, I'm sure about us." She places a hand on the side of my face and brushes it with her thumb. "Being with you feels right, this feels right. It's so good to be true." "It is true," I say, and she lands her forehead on mine. I can hear her anxious breathing. I place my hand on her waist and she brushes her face on mine. I come across her lips and press mine on hers. It starts as an unstable kiss, but each time our lips part, my body cries for more. I suck on her bottom lip as my hand runs through her lap -underneath her dress. And I thought it was all of it until her tongue rolled into mine. As I grab her closer to me, we drop onto the bed. Caressing her lap, my hands move up, and I feel the waistband of her underwear. I feel like peeling it off, but I have no idea what we are doing -And I know I don't want it to stop. She helps me peel off my shirt. Her hands are all over my body. I hold her hands on my chest. "Sam we...we should stop," I say with an anxious breath, but she continues to kiss my chest. I zip down her dress and push it down. "Sam I don't have a condom." "We don't need it," she says. "You sure?" I ask, shocked. SAM. Am I going gaga? 'We don't need it?' I'm definitely not in my right state of mind. But he looks more surprised than I am. I'm scared, not because I don't want this; I'm scared because I do. "It is my first time," I say nervously. "Aren't you full of surprises, Samantha Raymond," he says, and I hate that he just reminds me of my dad at this moment. I stop myself from wondering what my dad would think of me right now. "I will go easy," he whispers in my mouth.

Bang! I sat bolt upright. Did I imagine that? That noise? What was it? I clambered out of bed and almost fell down the stairs with the panic that had set in. My front door was wide open but nobody was there, the wood was just swinging in the doorway allowing the cool breeze in my house. What if somebody was already inside? I hopped over the living room sofa, to climb the stairs yet again and as I made it to the landing I was thrown into the wall. My body pinned against it with a muscled form shadowing mine. A hand placed over my mouth silenced my screams that I was too scared to let out anyway. "I'm not going to hurt you. Just don't scream." It was Colton. His husky voice was a distinct reminder that he was my mate. The tingles that spread through my body made me hate but love the entire situation. I want him closer. "You don't run away from me, understand?" I nodded, he was really close to me and my wolf purred for him to be closer. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind as he slowly removed his hand. "What do you want?" I demanded, making the futile attempt to shove him away though he didn't move an inch. "I want what is mine." He replied with a low growl that sent chills up my spine. My back was still pressed firmly against the wall and I think I was in shock to move. Though I felt safe which made me feel sick, how could I be safe in the presence of him? "No." I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. "No?" He repeated my words back to me and I boiled the kettle for a cup of tea. My mum said tea fixes everything, then again it never fixed her relationship. "You heard me." "I heard you clear. I'm just making sure you're happy with that answer before I make you regret it." Colton advanced forward, pure dread taking over my body at the size of him compared to me. He leaned forward so his lips were against my ear and with a soft tone he whispered. "Are you happy with that answer?"
