Alexander Moore gets separated from his best friend, Ezekiel Wright, at a young age, leaving just himself and his younger sister with their abusive father since their mother died years before. After Alex graduates high school, he becomes a chef for a bakery / cafe, and soon, a waiter is hired- a young boy, Alex's age- and he happens to have the same name, looks, and history as his childhood best friend. Their relationship takes off rather easily, though the past keeps coming up to haunt him, leaving a strain in his relationship with Zeke.
