COMPLETED! Henry continued to stare at the rocks on the ground as I turned around and began to storm away. After crossing the creek, just as I was about to make my way up the small hill, his shaky voice rang out. "Wait!" He called, and I stopped in my tracks. "Could you..." No one wanted to be her friend in fear that she was just as bitchy as her brother, no boy wanted to be on the receiving end of a protective threat from Henry Bowers and in between making sure she lived through the day and avoiding unwanted confrontation, Amanda didn't do too well in school. The future didn't look bright. Yet she had cursed herself with the hope that one day, outside of Derry, she could make something of herself. Big dreams and a big heart would make a big success. And although everyone around her told her it was impossible, a group of friends she miraculously made over the summer had great expectations for her.
