"Your love is the echo that gives my heart a reason to beat."
In the midst of life's darkest hour, Valiana finds herself on the edge of grief. The deep, passionate love she once shared has been ripped from her grasp. Deleena's tragic death leaves Valia hollow, a shell of her former self, struggling to navigate through a world that has lost its color.
Every heartbeat is a haunting echo of the past, a stark reminder of a love that was so profound it defied definition. Valiana carries Deleena's heart within her, a gift of life that binds them beyond death, but it's a painful reminder of what she's lost. Each day is a struggle, each moment filled with the effort to keep breathing, to keep moving, for their daughter, Zoey.
However, life has a peculiar way of stirring the ashes, of breathing color back into a grayscale existence. As Val starts to succumb to her grief, believing herself destined to a life of sorrow, an unexpected connection emerges from the shadows. A woman, carrying her own burden of despair, steps into Valiana's life. Two souls, teetering on the edge of hopelessness, find a reason to live again in each other.
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
