Sleep token inspired fanfiction.
Please note, this is based off sleep token lore, although some parts are completely made up.

"Hey, hey" I feel a hand shaking my shoulder "wake up, Youre dreaming again" I hear a sweet voice in my ear. I flutter my eyelids, coming out of my dream. I moan, rubbing my eyes with my hands. "Another one hey?" Elizabeth asks me. I hum a low moan, sitting up on the side of the bed. "Like always" I say cupping my head into my hands. I feel a hand rubbing my back. "I know, this will get better, I promise" she says in her usual sweet soft voice. "Yeah, I'm not to sure about that one" I respond, relaxing my shoulders down. "Him again?" she asks with concern.

After a year away at Kitty Hawk, Cassie Maybank returns to the Outerbanks with a determination to get her life back on track. To stay healthy, to make her own friends, to live a normal, steady life like every teenage girl should. But after hearing the news of the passing of one of her closest friends, and coming back to the island, she realizes her brother's letters severely underestimated how much had truly changed. A lot can happen in a year. Friends become strangers, brothers become liars. Some enemies become allies, some enemies become lovers. © Inslaytiable | June 22nd, 2023
