After a series of trauma from his childhood, Maduka spirals down to rock bottom. The sudden death of his estranged father thrusts him into a world of chaos; forced into the life he ran away from. Suddenly, the consequences of the all poor decisions he made charges at him. Usually when the going gets tough, Maduka's instinct is flight. He never had much to fight for, not much had worth to him. When he meets Binyelum, running becomes a difficult choice. This new world presents loss in more ways than one. Will it be love or duty? Which will be flight? Which will be fight?
Binyelum didn't come from much, she had very little but she grew up believing the world was hers for the taking. Though she was never sure how to take on the world. She understood early that her dreams were secondary to her role as a daughter. A chance meeting leaves her questioning her sacrifices. If to leave is to be selfish, is staying the certain testament of love? When she finds herself entangled with the mysterious Maduka, she suddenly finds there's more ways to love and more ways to lose.
