In the shadows of the room. A new figure materialized . An intruder . Random , the invader of dreams. It twice came to me at night. In the same year. At first in the form of a young girl looking through my window, smiling enthusiastically and waving vigorously at me . Calling me to play. I did not want to play. The second time was when it came into my dreams and tried to stop me from waking up . It wanted to keep in the dream scape by preventing me from running away ,from a horde of 'teachers' who would suck the life out of their students , just as they had done to it. A tiny voice soon after the episode promised me I'd be safe from Random as long as I remained awake , or inside during night fall. And this very Random was in that room , watching over her like a perverted creature. But it remained statute. It's hulking silhouette blocking the main source of light. Until day break.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. "Please, stop," I begged, my voice cracking. Tears streamed down my face, my eyes swollen and burning. "I can't handle this anymore. Just stay away from me." His words, "Little Angel, don't say that. I'm here to love you," were like a cruel joke. Love? The word tasted like ash in my mouth. His actions screamed something entirely different. "Your sweet words won't change anything. I need you to keep your distance," I responded firmly, putting all my energy into my voice. My breath hitched. One minute we were arguing, the next...fire. Agony seared my throat. He shoved me onto the bed, my head hitting the pillows hard. Stunned, I begged silently, God, please, save me from this monster. His hands were on my throat again, squeezing, stealing my air. After being convicted of a murder she didnt commit alita is left stranded on the hostile world filled with carnivorous plants, ruthless criminals, hostile natives, and bloodthirsty monsters. She comes to realize the world isnt as unforgiving and cold as it seems. She's saved by a native who dislikes humans as much as the next guy but shes intent on sticking by his side in order to survive. The only issue being is the last thing he wants is a pathetic, weak human girl following him around. (Limited time only read!) A Strange Affliction - Besotted Hero

I didn't realize there was something strange until I turned sixteen and I started to have visions. The first time it happened I was at school paying attention to a lesson and it suddenly seemed like a little number popped out of nowhere beside the head of a boy I secretly fancied. I stared at that number very puzzled and shocked and looked around the class wondering if someone was using a specific laser that made the numbers appear in that strange fashion beside his head. But no one was looking in his direction and he continued to talk normally to a boy seated beside him, like nothing was the matter. The number was bright yellow and stayed seated in his right ear direction, looking shining and visible and it didn't go away, even after I rubbed my eyes desperately trying to make it go away. It was a number 4 and it was the first time I had the vision that would accompany me for longer than I would have wished. The next day, the numbers multiplied and now they were everywhere, showing themselves next to different men and I didn't know what to do or what to think of such a strange apparition.

Aliens are real. They infested Earth in hope to find their "mate". These alien lifeforms were capable of controlling human bodies, infecting them with their black dust, impregnating fertile human female's, and growing the Irinaut's massive companions, the Yeti's, a less evolved version of the Irinaut. Earth is gone. Nothing more then a ball of dust. After the people fled on ships, they traveled to their new hope. It was a place of solitude. The human race was able to flee from the foreign infection, but for how long? Luna was frozen on the ship. For nearly a 200 years, their ship had traveled. Many people had been placed in a cryogenic state. That of which kept them from aging as they made their way out of the infection. For them, a place of safety, The Solar Sun. The Solar Sun space ship was the closest landing unit in the solar system. Many others would have to be traveled to after refueling and preparing for another two or three centuries of being in a cryogenic state. For Luna, the girl hopes that space would be her escape from the aliens that destroyed their Earth, but that was only the beginning. Upon arrival, the ship is found infested. Luna and a small team of scientists had come in hopes for finding a cure for the strange virus, only to find the virus had taken over most of The Solar Sun, following a few escaped Irinauts. The Solar Sun is their last hope, and their last escape from these beings, but what's to be found there will change everything.Complete
