Lyra had a difficult first nine years, her parents died in a wildfire, put in and running from foster care. But that all changed when she was running somewhere in New York woods when two teenagers picked her up and brought her into their home.
This was the one home she didn't run from, but towards.
At Camp Half-Blood Lyra found people like her, with traumatizing pasts, special powers. She thought she fit in, with the Seven plus Nico and Reyna raising her.
But she was still out of place. She would glow all the time. It started out subtle but as she grew up it got stronger until whenever she got mad no one could look at her.
It all made sense the day she was claimed and explained who she really was.
The day where her already hard life got even more complicated.
