After the deaths of his biological parents, Russian-American Ruvyzvat "Ruv" Romanov is adopted by his cousin once removed; Vinskolla Romanov, who treats him like crap; forcing him to drop out of high school and do the chores, not letting him do anything else.

On a person's 18th birthday, a mark appears on their wrist, and whoever has a mark that matches theirs is their soulmate. Ruv and his second cousins; Y/N Romanov and Lubov Romanova, share a birthday, meaning that they all get their mark at the same time.

When their marks come in, the mark on Ruv's wrist is a microphone, which also happens to be the mark on famed 19-year-old singer; Keith Hatsune's wrist.
