Lee stared into the night, he could see the burning temple from the mountain top. He clenched his hands and tried to control his anger. Xia was getting out of control, his bloodlust had driven him to drastic things. The destruction of the sacred temple was the last straw. A rider came up behind him "There are no survivors, my lord". He turned to his commander ".... And you've checked everywhere? ". The man nodded, he tried to steer his horse, but a shrill scream stopped him. He turned to stare at the burning temple. Something rose from the smoke, a birdlike creature, with eyes like molten fire. It screeched and disappeared in a cloud of smoke, Lee turned to his men, but it seemed like, they did not see the strange bird. He turned to his commander "Baek-hyun, did you see that bird? ". Baek-hyun shook his head, but he continued to stare at the ruins in front of them. The other men, stared too, as if in a trance. Lee slowly got off his horse and broke into a run, he could hear Baek-hyun yelling for him to stop, but he kept running. He didn't know why he was running but something was calling out to him. He ran into the ruined temple, Baek-hyun trailing behind him. He ran past the fallen huts, and the things that were still on fire. He stopped in front of what looked like an altar. It was a large hut with extravagant decorations, the door was lined with exotic drawings and wards. He didn't have time to appreciate the beauty, the fire was slowly spreading. It had destroyed half of the roof. He dove into the altar and looked around in panic. What was wrong with him?, why was he here?. This didn't make any sense, it was madness. Something behind caught his eyes. He turned slowly, to find someone on the floor, the figure glowed faintly, he slowly walked towards it. It was wearing a hooded cloak, he lowered the hood and his breath caught in his throat. Her face was bruised and pale. He lifted her and she opened her eyes slowly, she smiled weakly "Lee, you came".
