Finding out I was a witch was hardly a shocker. I mean, my Nana owned an occult shop and my mum had dabbled here and there. So it kind of went without saying that I was prepared for that bombshell. 

What I was not prepared for was to be supernaturally tethered to the most arrogant asshole I had ever met. He had hijacked my dreams and somehow blamed the invasion on me. Like it was my fault he kissed me! 

But he was the least of my worries. 

My twin brother, Damien, and I were hell bent on finding out how our parents mysteriously died 14 years earlier. However the closer we got to the truth, the harder someone or something tried to push us away. 

It seemed like our best bet was to ask the jerk for help. Go figure! But persuading him would be a problem.

I don't know how to explain it but it felt as though my brain was tearing in two, like my head was cracking open. When the pain stopped, I found myself surrounded by wolves, the shifted pups. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.
