Valerie Johnson, a 13 year old girl struggling with mental health. Her mother, Madison Johnson. Does not believe in mental health, her mother is very strict. She has some crazy rules, for example, Valerie cannot eat after a certain time. Valerie cannot watch tv for more than an hour, Many more rules that Valerie is forced to follow.
What will happen when her mother meets a man, They 'instantly' fall in 'love'.  The man Valerie's mother falls in love with happens to have 4 sons. Valerie's mother and her 'partner' go travelling for 2 years, leaving Valerie alone with her soon to be step-brothers. They do not like her, or maybe they do.
