I was talking to Vix when it happened.
"Dude, your arm is bleeding. " I glanced down. Sure enough, a thin line of blood had formed on my arm. As I watched another line appeared parallel to the first. And then another connected the two making a H. A few seconds later and there was an i to accompany it. Hi. My eyes widened. I looked up at Vix.
"You think? " I asked trailing off. We had just been talking about soulmates. Was mine trying to talk to me?
Vix grinned. "One way to find out." He pulled a small pocket knife from his back pocket and flipped it open. Slowly but surely, he carved into my arm, right next to the first one, Hi.
