The story starts where the movie ended. Maria and Robin are growing in their friendship. Maria discovers her responsibilities as the moon princess will be challenging, while Robin has to prepare to be the future leader of the De Noir clan; with each passing day, his responsibilities are growing. Even though Maria returned the pearls to the sea, it seemed as if something was missing. Something also seems off about the forest, it looks okay from afar, but the closer you come to it, the more you realize that something feels unnatural. 

I do not own any of the characters in the book or movie. Examples of the characters I do not own would be Maria, Robin, Loveday, etc.

Scarlet just wants to be left alone and finish high school as she moved away from her home. People at her old school saw her as odd and she only had two best friends that were left back in London when she moved. She is forced into a new school being the new girl and hating the people in the school. Everybody seemed to enjoy drama and teasing the new girl relentlessly but she knows how to stand up for herself and she can be more dangerous than they think. Some trauma from home is found and in danger of being told, things that she doesn't really want people to know. You'd think getting through high school would be easy. A certain bad boy who happens to be her neighbor takes a keen interest in her. She's never liked anyone and has had no real interest in any relationship, only her studies that kept her busy. He's smart but acts like he's the greatest and he tries to impress her but she can hardly be impressed by things she can do. Distractions around every corner with the bad boy and the popular mean girl group that doesn't approve of the bad boys attention on her.

Moonacre by Hyperheed

Maria never ran into Loveday and left Moonacre. The resulting curse eliminated the entire de Noir bloodline and left Maria as the only one to carry on the Merryweather legacy. Over 100 years later, Jane is the last Merryweather and therefore the last Moon Princess. To restore the legacy of both the Merryweathers and the de Noirs she travels back in time to guide Maria on her path to lift the curse and save the valley. After the events of the movie Jane decided to stay in Moonacre a while longer, knowing fully well that she should return to her own time once more but she can't bring herself to leave just yet. Torn between her own reality and her new friends as well as her blossoming feelings for Robin, she must decide whether to go or to stay and leave her old life behind. All seemed well after Maria saved Moonacre Valley. She's been gone for three years to finish her schooling and finally she's returned home. But the very first night she is there, terrible nightmares assault her and something feels off. Darkness has been taking over Moonacre Valley and it is up to Maria and Robin to discover what is threatening them and stop it before everything is lost. And what about Robin? He's certainly been acting strange lately. Why is he seeming so gentle towards her when he so rough and wild for the rest of the world? (Better than description I promise)
