Summer has always struggled with her relationship towards her dad. They could never find anything to agree on. When summer was only five her dad started to have sex with other women. That led to him being an alcoholic and summer having to take care of him. When her dad decides to put her in public schools instead of home-schooling she freaks out and goes into a state of shock. Her dad constantly lets her down and abuses her. She's never had a real friend until she meets the best one.
