Martin, a former low-ranking police officer, finds himself in a position of authority and luxury after being offered a job as a servant manager in a grand mansion. He faces challenges from jealous senior servants but handles them with diplomacy. Mark, one of the men who brought Martin to the mansion, insists that Martin takes his place on a ship trip as a token of gratitude. Before departing, Stefano, another servant, expresses genuine worry for Martin's well-being. Martin embarks on the ship trip with excitement, but his appearance causes him to feel out of place. As the ship sets sail, he begins to enjoy the experience, but is interrupted when someone knocks on his door.
