The werewolf curse was just that.
A curse.
One had to take a human life to trigger their curse and spend the rest of their days being forced to turn on the night of a full moon.
All except Esme.
Esme was an old soul, one who had gained complete control of her beast and accepted that part of her when she was very young, at the age of thirteen. Upon realising the truth about who and what she is. Esme gained confidence and control of her other half but in the beginning she was a girl full of anger and violence which lead to her family sending her away.
Now she has returned to Mystic Falls after the death of her father, the Mayor and planned to stay but Mystic Falls had changed since she was younger. Now full of vampires and soon to be more wolves, Esme had a choice to make.
