Nova McCarty is Emmett McCarty's younger twin. They were turned at the same time when she went with Emmett to go hunt. Rosalie appeared and was going to save Emmett, but he refused to abandon his sister, so Rosalie saved both of them by taking them to Carlisle. Waking up after the change, Emmett and the Cullen's were shocked to see that Nova's once dark hair had turned to a mesmerizing platinum blonde. She was definitely a special kind of Cold One.

Henry is Charlie's first born blood-son. Their relationship is strained when Henry's mother found Charlie cheating with the town's home-wrecking slut. Renee H.(never knew her name before it became Dwyer). Devastated, Henry was taken from Charlie to live with his mom until tragedy struck. Long story short, Henry called Charlie, they were so heartbroken. Taking in his son, Henry didn't really feel at home in Forks for a long time. He missed his mom. And Charlie knew that, because he missed her too. No one blamed them for grieving together. The town helped support Charlie with Henry, and that helped a lot.
