After the death of Wei Wuxian's parents, he leaves his grandmother's secluded mountain and goes to Lotus Pier. Their he becomes the head disciple as it was the sect his father served before his mysterious death. He was then to attend lectures at Cloud Recesses, a place where his mother was said to be cursed. Wei Wuxian held a grudge to many if not all of the sects. It was until he meets Second Master Lan Wangji that he starts second guessing the Lan Sect's involvement in his Mother's death.

Will he bypass his grudges to get what he needs?
