Grows slowly a hungering pang into ear screeching rendered roar.
Bouncing erratically off the encircling walls of mangled brazen mind
Where thoughts become often overwhelmed by ephemeral nature of time
As the second hand bypasses every memory dangerously malingering encased
Within dispassionate reverie as far as grasping arms outstretched reach repeatedly
For an elusive brass ring well beyond the reach upon a carousel spell's design
Built for speed but never to discover a secure place to reside or forever shine.
Its endless stare into the glare of an unforgettable sunrise where eyes often see.
What may have been or by happenstance forever be secured un-dotted line impolite?
To forever describe an unforgettable feeling from whence this all began in time.
In and about despite all extended shadows of doubt drawing one into darkest night
Without even a second thought a lesson never learned or taught whimpers contrite
