Don't Let Me Go

[Season 6 Spoilers]

"Deku's alone out there" There was a pause as those words hung heavy in the air. "I don't like it."

"I don't like it either." Todoroki frowned, the even reply coming out rather quickly. It was surprising given that he and Bakugo usually never agreed on anything.

The two stared out at the giant wall Nezu had constructed around the school with calculating eyes, there were people pouring in through the gate even at this late hour, flashlights marking each of them, a stream of tiny dots. It appeared as if they were fallen fireflies aided by a colony of ants.

Those people were as important as the bugs they so resembled. Todoroki's gaze soon shifted to take in Bakugo's calm determined expression.

"What are you going to do?" Todoroki asked. "You read his letter didn't you? He doesn't want anyone involved."

"I don't give a rat's ass what that nerd wants. He thinks that he can write a damn note and fucking leave? I'm dragging his ass back here. Any objections?"

"Just one." Their gazes met. "I'm going too."

The fic where instead of the whole class going to save Deku....it's just Bakugo and Todoroki. Life outside the safety of UA is perilous. Hopeless. In other words, it's the perfect place to fall in love.

This fic was inspired by Ao3's Miled- their story is called Knights and Dragons and it's phenomenal. I just had to do my own spin on the concept.
