Veer~Tara

Tara, the only daughter of the head priest of Bharatpur, grew up without the love of a mother, her father was her everything. She was well versed in Vedas and Upanishads. Her father taught her everything and never restricted her. Since childhood her interest lied in politics, war and weapons. She learnt all the war strategies and weapon techniques from the prince of Bharatpur (now the king), Rana Ranjeet Singh Shekhawat. He was closest to Tara and treated her like a little sister. Her father wanted to find a good alliance for her and get her married as she turned 18 this year. But she had different plans. She never wanted to marry instead wanted to join the army of Bharatpur. She always thought of marriage as a cage for her dreams.

Only if she had known that destiny had something else on its plate for her. Mughals attacked Bharatpur in 1680 just after a year she joined army. She had now become the head of the army and right hand of the King. On the battlefield, the enemies surrounded her. She single handedly killed hundreds for hours now. Looking at her fierceness and threatened by her strength, the head of the enemy side played dirty.

As Tara stood her ground, a blade came at her from behind.
She didn't see it coming.
Just then, her saviour arrived.

And in that moment, as her bloodied hands lost grip of the sword , Tara collapsed.
