One morning in the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mario Brothers receive an invitation to an animation studio at Joey Drew Studios by mistake. Bored and with nothing to do, Mario decides to visit the studio, taking his brother Luigi along.

Little do they know what surreal things will await them there. Will they be able to explore and get out of the place, while facing ink creatures, ink enemies and the fearsome Ink Demon?
