Irene needs the world to change.

As she starts her third year of college, she's realized that she can't keep living the same way anymore. After being broken up with her boyfriend, she starts to realize that something is off. Her over-thinking habits have gotten her into trouble before, but she's learning that they're leading her toward something new. Something that she's never dared to think of before, and something that's encouraging her to reach out to Lucia, a recent transfer student who's able to change Irene's perspective on everything - including her sexuality.

She knew that her third year of college would be difficult, but her awful luck is ruining everything. Balancing imposter syndrome, work, and life in general is already hard enough, the last thing she needs is an identity crisis. But, like her luck, she doesn't have power over anything that's coming at her.

It turns out that she's the one that needs to change, not the world. If she wants any chance at changing her luck, she must learn how to control it.

Read this story to see how Irene breaks free from her family's standards, her own fears, and the past.

This a story of two souls meeting in the most expected times of their lives. They fit together so perfectly and their connection was different from all the other relationships they had been in. However, one of them is in a relationship she cannot seem to get out of. Will they stay together or will they go separate ways? Read as their story unfolds as easy as ABC. ***** The first time I saw you in school, the gay girl inside of me was not screaming, not that you were horrible, unattractive or unappealing (you were the opposite) but I was too focused on something else. The first time I took notice of you was when I first heard your voice. It was June, the first day of a communication class. We were given the task to introduce ourselves in front of the class for one minute. Of course, I went first and I was trying to be the one oozing with confidence. Everyone introduced themselves and in my memory they were all in a blur. Until, you spoke, you blew me away not because of your introduction but because of your voice. You sounded so manly which was a little too far from what you look like. The first time I talked to you was at the library and a glass wall was hindering us from hearing each other clearly. It was crazy that I really talked to you afterwards. It was weird too. 🙈😂 The first time we actually had a good conversation was the night before your birthday. It was special because we truly did connect. That was the moment where it all started. Will you let go when everything feels so wrong already?

Love can feel empowering. Love can be deadly. It can be the greatest thing to ever happen. It can be the biggest mistake that can't be reversed. It can feel like a dream come true. It can feel like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Love changes people in many ways, from mild to severe, whether it's beneficial or detrimental in anybody's life, no matter if you're lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, or a person who just loves people without a label. How does love change you? ******* It's like your basic high school love story, except it's with adults in their early-mid 20s, and they're either still in college or have graduated from college and have jobs. It's a modern slice of life narrative novel about lesbians trying to find true love or wanting to get back into the love game. Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? [Content/Trigger Warnings- the main warnings are scenes of sexual activity, and suicidal talk/attempt, along with mentions of said attempt. Everything else is listed inside the book!
