Her eyes cast low into an indistinct expression as she asks hesitantly, "You're... a pirate?"
"Yup!" Luffy chirps, happily.
"Why would...," Her words fall silent as she shakes her head, almost as if she were dismissing the question on her mind entirely. Instead, the young woman's eyes seize Luffy with a similar intensity she had moments before, eliciting a shiver to run like an electric current up his spine.
"You look nothing like one." She informs him.
Luffy sputters, " HAH?!"

Summer was over. It's time for the start of a new year at East Blue High School for the Straw Hat Crew. Luffy had gone all summer without seeing one of his closest friends; Nami. She comes back sad, and unlike herself after the woman who adopted her had passed away. For some reason, Luffy starts getting all these weird feelings when he's with Nami. These feelings are feelings that he's never had before. Was he sick? Was he allergic to Nami? This was all weird to him. Nami had feelings like this for Luffy for a while. It was just super hard for her to admit it. She's had these feelings since she met Luffy in eighth grade. Nami hasn't even fallen that hard for anybody, especially a clueless idiot who is obsessed with eating and wants nothing to do with relationships. This junior year was weird for both Luffy and Nami, since they both are realizing the feelings they have for each other. It wasn't as simple as either of them thought it would be, though. Hello! This story is about the characters of the anime "One Piece," but they're all highschoolers in their 3rd year. The main focus of this story is on Nami and Luffy, the two characters I've shipped since they first met each other. This is my first ever story I am putting out there, so please give me suggestions on how I could improve my writing. Just to let you all know, the characters in here are all normal teenagers. Chopper, isn't a reindeer. Franky isn't a cyborg. Zoro isn't a swordsman. Brook isn't a skeleton. None of the characters have devil fruits. In fact, they don't even exist. '3D2Y' Since then, (Y/N) has been staying on Law's ship training under him in basic medical procedures to contribute more to her crew by helping Chopper. Plus, Rayleigh mentioning something along the lines of her ability is similar in a way. Still haunted by the memory of not being able to save Ace. (Y/N) vowed to get stronger. Strong enough to never see anyone she cares for die in front of her again. She already lost her family once, and she'll be damned if it were to happen twice. But that wasn't all (Y/N) did in those two years. She has also been searching for any information that could be relevant to the power she possesses. Hoping to reach closer to the many answers that plagued her mind.
