He was cold to everyone who tried getting in his way, but she was different. She had to be. he's had girls try hitting on him before, though he was oblivious to it. she was different, straightforward, and made him feel something unfamiliar, and that was dangerous. He knew nothing of love, and his parents scertenly didn't give an example of it. She taught him the most important lesson of his life, and it changed his whole world.

She grew up alone and scared, but she never fell for anyone so hard. He had to be her soulmate, and she had to admit, she was a hopeless romantic. So when she learned to accept her feelings were true for the boy, she practically threw herself at him.
