It's many years into the future, too many to accurately keep track of. Humanity has evolved and devolved, making the New Agers, members of a uto-totalitarian world governed only by the sacred law of Codex Vitae. The world is one. All are taken care of and provided for. All work hard for the progression of the planet. Gone are race, creed and country. There is only Major 3 and New Agers. The world is perfect. Or so Amari is taught. Years of suppressed curiosity and an insatiable desire for more cause her to question the system and wonder how and why it was created and the answers reveal a monster lurking beneath the façade of a perfect society. Now she is faced with a question. And a choice. What is true power? And is she willing to sacrifice everything for it.

"No matter the choices you make, I will never forsake you. Should you be cast aside like gravel- carry my power and live as you please from this day onwards." In this world, everyone has powers of their own, but around the age of six, they must take a vaccination to seal them away- only the Jarumi, the leaders of the people, are permitted to utilise their gifts. To those that dare disobey? They grow ill and die in an average of 5 years. Everyone knows the Jarumi are hiding something- something big. But the only ones who dare go against them are the Seraphs; a group with unknown motive, rumoured to partake in human experimentation and other unethical methods. But, Daphne does not want any part in that political chaos! Although fate.. had other plans. When her father grows ill, Daphne embarks on a journey to find her brother for help- leaving their small town, her naivety would do no good. But entangling herself with the fate of the world? She must've been the unluckiest girl to exist. Although, in truth, she was an insect stuck in that web from the day she was born.
