Based on the plot/ characters from The Little Mermaid (2023 live action remake) alongside storylines of my own creation: 

"When the Kings secondary confidant, y/n, rescues a charming prince from a ship doomed to the ocean floor, he bans her from ever visiting the human world. Desperate to see the prince again, she makes a deal with a sea witch to regain her legs, and walk on land. But the deal comes with deadly consequences..." 

a/n: This story is pretty much for my enjoyment because I adored the live action remake; it is genuinely one of the greatest films I've ever seen. Also I'm a bit -- a LOT bias, as one of my friends worked on it as Roto Prep Artist and I couldn't be prouder of her! *cries in bestie success* I also had the opportunity to chat with Jonah Hauer-King once and sweet mother Mary, if he isn't the loveliest, kindest person alive, which made me all the more inclined to write this. 

There will be instances of smut, fluff, violence etc... but only in certain chapters. I'll put a warning in advance of those!

But the mermen is already engaged, and Tara finds out that his bride to be Adara is not what she appears. While all of this happens under sea, back on land Tarabelle's older brother Ridge, attempts to find out what exactly happened to her. Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to! When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers. Philip's bodyguard begins to catch on that Muriel is different and Percy and the king quickly become desperate to find her. My own version of "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen. Used to be called, "Mermaid Wish." (Magic in this world works differently than in my series, 'Tèarmann Chronicles')
