Sydnie Rhee was always alone in her world. Sure she had her parents, but they were never there for her, they only cared about her brother. That was just a disadvantage of being adopted, never really belonging. Even though she loved her brother to death, it didn't stop her from leaving home at the age of eighteen.

When she decides to come back home all hell has broke loose. The dead are walking around and she has no clue if her family is alive, or where they would be.

After a year of this hell on Earth, Sydnie runs into two men and their group. When they bring her back to their camp, Sydnie runs into a familiar face which she is very glad to see. Everything about this group is good, except for a certain redneck. For some reason he intrigues her, and she's going to figure him out, even if she dies trying.
