The Belle of the Ball

There is nothing wrong with wanting a normal life, is there? All I wanted was to be able to do things normal girls my age could do, I wanted to go to a party, hang out with my friends, and fall in love with a boy. All pretty simple things, correct?
Yes, you may all agree that they were simple, but nothing was ever simple for me, and I could never do tasks the simple way either.
The falling in love part, was the silliest task I ever completed, because I fell in love with the wrong person entirely. Someone who tore my entire world apart by the seams and destroyed everything in its wake. Someone who I did my best to outrun, no matter how far it took me.
