"I live for you, gannet." He said voice quivering slightly, I look up and into his eyes feeling his gaze look directly into me.
"Aren't you technically dead Charles?" I say, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
I hear his deep, throaty chuckle, The one that sends shudders straight through me.
"I suppose I am, huh?" He pauses, taking a second to push up the thick framed glasses I've come to love, up and off the end up his nose.
